Up to my mid-50s I had been a competitive athlete, from my days at school, through university and during my career. My coaches, fellow athletes and friends had often mentioned the many benefits of Pilates to me but I had ignored their guidance.
As I became older I had become aware of my diminishing flexibility, and the related need to change my rigid exercise regime. So, a few years ago I took the plunge and turned up at one of Mel’s classes. The change in my flexibility and mobility was noticeable even after only a few sessions.
I cannot recommend Mel’s sessions highly enough. She has given me a new approach to my fitness and this new found flexibility has increased the quality of my movement, my stamina and my stability.
